Leasing management parameters

Leasing management parameters control the number sequences used to generate reference numbers for leasing documents. Configure this before creating your first rental agreement so that agreement numbers follow your organisation's numbering convention.

Configuring number sequences​

Navigate to Leasing management > Setup > Leasing management parameters.

The Number sequences tab lists each document reference and the sequence currently assigned to it:

  • Reference: The type of document (e.g. Rental agreements).
  • Number Sequence: The sequence assigned to that reference, along with its numbering format (e.g. Rental-Agreement (RENT-AGR-######)).
  • Description: A description of the number sequence.

Changing a number sequence​

Select Edit, choose a different number sequence from the available list for the reference you want to change, then save.

warning

Changing a number sequence does not renumber existing agreements. Only newly created agreements use the updated sequence. The number sequences themselves are created and configured in Organisation administration > Number sequences.
