Company setup
The Company setup page is the foundational configuration node for your ERP system. It houses the critical master data that legally identifies your entity across all operational modules, financial reports, and official government declarations.
Accessing Company Setup
Navigate to Organization administration > Company setup.
The page is structured into four logical tabs, ensuring that your corporate identity, location, communication channels, and statutory registrations are maintained in a highly structured format.
General
The General tab captures the primary commercial identifier of your business.
- Company name: The overarching trading name of your business (e.g.,
ACME). This name is typically utilised internally across the ERP interface, on dashboard headers, and on standard internal operational documents.
Addresses
The Addresses tab maintains the physical and registered locations of your business. This data is critical for generating official documents such as Sales Invoices, Purchase Orders, and Tax Declarations, which legally require a registered corporate address.
- Address Line: The detailed street address (e.g.,
Sharjah Industrial Area). - City & Country: The geographic locale (e.g.,
Sharjah,United Arab Emirates). - Post Code: The postal routing code, if applicable in your jurisdiction.
Contacts
The Contacts tab serves as the central repository for your corporate communication channels.
- Contact Type: Defines the medium of communication (e.g.,
Phone,Email Address). - Contact Value: The actual number or address (e.g.,
+971 65 323 267,info@example.com). - Primary: A critical configuration flag indicating the default contact method. If you have multiple phone numbers configured, the system will automatically pull the number marked as Primary to display on your outgoing commercial documents.
VAT Registration
The VAT registration tab is strictly reserved for your statutory and compliance data. Accurate configuration here is an absolute prerequisite for successful integration with the Tax Engine and subsequent governmental reporting.
- Tax registration number: Your unique Tax Registration Number (TRN) issued by the Federal Tax Authority (e.g.,
100234567800003). - Taxable person name: Your precise, legally registered corporate name in the primary language (e.g.,
ACME Perfumes LLC). - Taxable person name (alternative): Your legally registered corporate name in the secondary official language (e.g.,
أكمي للتطوير ذ.م.م). - Declarant name: The name of the authorised individual (e.g.,
Adminor a specific financial controller) responsible for submitting tax declarations.
The information provided in the VAT registration tab must match your official trade license and tax registration certificates verbatim. Any discrepancies can lead to the rejection of electronic VAT returns.
