Service Dashboard
The dashboard is the landing page of Service management. It shows how busy the workshop is right now: what is open, what is late, where the orders and repairs are in your workflow, and what came in and went out over the last days. Anyone who may read service orders may open it.
Every number refreshes by itself once a minute for what is open now, and each panel has its own Retry button if it could not be loaded. A failed panel shows a message instead of a zero, so an empty panel always means there is nothing to show.
What is an open order
An order is open until it is handed back: it has not been signed off, and it still has something to invoice (it has no lines yet, or at least one line is neither invoiced nor canceled). A signed-off, posted or canceled order is not open.
Choose the period
The Period switch at the top (7, 30 or 90 days) sets the days that Received, Handed back, the intake chart and the most common problems look at. A day is your own local day, from midnight to midnight. What is open now (open orders, overdue, due today, the stage panels) does not depend on the period. Your choice is remembered for you; Reset returns to 30 days.
The key figures
| Figure | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Open orders | Orders that are open now. Select it to open the order list. |
| Overdue | Open orders whose promised time has passed. Select it to show the list below. |
| Due today | Open orders promised for the rest of today. |
| Received | Orders received in the period. |
| Handed back | Orders signed off in the period. |
| Average turnaround | The average time from receiving an order to signing it off, over the orders handed back in the period. Shown in hours, or in days from 48 hours. It shows a dash when nothing was handed back. |
The panels
- Needs attention: Overdue orders. The open orders past their promised time, the longest overdue first (up to 50). The Late by column turns more serious at 3 and at 7 days. Select an order to open it.
- Intake and hand-back. Orders received and handed back per day (per week for 90 days). Days with nothing show as zero, so the line is continuous. Use the table button to see the numbers.
- Open orders by stage. How many open orders are in each stage of your workflow, in the order of the workflow. The name shown is the part of the stage's description before the colon.
- Repairs by repair stage. The repairs of open orders in each repair stage, and the repairs that have no stage yet. Use it to see, for example, how many repairs are waiting for parts: the dashboard shows the repair stages you defined and does not assume any of them.
- Most reported problems and Most common diagnoses. The five most frequent symptoms and diagnoses recorded on the repairs of orders received in the period, each with its area.
Every panel can be shown as a table and exported to a file from its menu.
