Department management

The Department management form serves to formally define the operational divisions within the enterprise. Departments represent the highest level of the internal organisational structure, providing a critical framework for grouping personnel, allocating resources, and establishing hierarchical reporting lines.

Accessing department management

1. Navigate to Human resources > Employees management > Department management.
2. The grid presents a comprehensive view of all extant departments within the organisation.

Creating a department

To instantiate a new operational division:

1. Select New from the Action Pane.
2. Populate the Department name with a concise and unambiguous identifier (e.g., Finance, Logistics, Research and Development).
3. Select Save to commit the new department to the enterprise structure.

Departments must be established prior to the configuration of Positions, as every position must inherently reside within a specific department.
